The Emory University men's soccer team will take on their
toughest opponent of the season to-date on Saturday, as the Eagles
will play host to fourth-ranked Christopher Newport University on
Saturday at 4:00 PM.
Saturday's match will feature a live video webcast. To access

The contest will be a rematch of last year's NCAA Round of
16 meeting between the two teams, when the Captains handed the
Eagles a 2-0 defeat. The game is the feature contest of
Emory's Homecoming Weekend.
Emory enters the match on a six-game winning streak, following a
4-1 win over Piedmont College on Wednesday night. The Eagles
improved to 6-1-0 overall with the victory, and are 1-1-0 at home
this season. The Captains will be the first nationally-ranked
opponent Emory will face this season.
Christopher Newport, ranked fourth by the NSCAA and seventh by
D3Soccer.com, enters the match with a 6-1-0 record as well, with
their only loss coming against then-top ranked Messiah
College. The Captains are 1-1-0 in road matches this
season.
Emory is 3-5-0 all time against Christopher Newport, including last
year's tournament loss.
