The Emory University men's soccer team will look for a
bounce-back performance following its loss on Sunday, as the Eagles
will face cross-town rival Oglethorpe University on Wednesday,
October 7th on the road.
The Eagles are 7-2-0 this season, including a 6-0-0 record in
matches away from the Woodruff Physical Education Center.
Emory begins the week ranked sixth in the South Atlantic
Region.
Oglethorpe is 4-4-1 on the season, including a 3-3-0 mark at
home. The Stormy Petrels recently broke a five-match winless
streak with a pair of wins this past weekend.
Last season, the Eagles defeated the Stormy Petrels 2-0 at
home. The two teams have met every season since the 1982
campaign.
Emory Notes:
Emory allowed its first first-half goal of the season during
Sunday's match against Washington University (Mo.)... The Eagles
have average 15.8 shots per game this season, compared to 8.0 shots
per game for their opponents... After Wednesday's match, the Eagles
will have just two remaining non-conference games during the
season.
