Emory Men’s Soccer Looks for Sixth-Straight Win Against Piedmont

The Emory University men's soccer team will be in search of its sixth-consecutive victory Wednesday night, as the Eagles will travel to Demorest, GA to take on Piedmont College at 7:00 PM.

The Eagles will enter the match with a 5-1-0 record this season, including five-consecutive victories.  Emory is ranked seventh in the South Atlantic Region, and is 4-0-0 in road and neutral matches this season. 

Piedmont currently stands at 3-1-1 on the season, including a 3-1-0 record at home.  The Lions are coming off a 1-1 tie against Maryville College on September 19th.

Emory is 9-2-0 all-time against Piedmont, including five-consecutive wins in the series.  Last season, the Eagles defeated the Lions 4-0 at the WoodPEC.  Sophomore Bryan Fedner and junior Frank Hapak each have goals during their careers against Piedmont.

Emory currently ranks 47th in Division III with 2.67 goals per game this season... Emory's team goals against average of 0.83 is the 77th-best mark out of the 377 Division III teams ranked... Junior Christopher Howie is 19th in the nation with 0.83 assists per game (five assists in six games)... Sophomore goalkeeper Trenton Spinder is 73rd in the country with a 0.761 goals against average... The Eagles are yet to allow a first half goal this season... Emory has outscored its opponents 15-3 during its five-game winning streak.
