The Emory University men's soccer team (6-1-0) defeated Piedmont
College (3-2-1) in Demorest, GA on Wednesday night.
The win is the sixth-straight for the Eagles, who remained
undefeated against Division III opponents this season.
Emory notched a goal in the 41st minute with sophomore Nico
Dalton's third score of the year to take a 1-0 lead into
halftime.
Goals from Zach Samuels and Jake
Graetz in the 52nd and 65th minutes, respectively, gave
Emory a 3-0 lead in the contest. After Piedmont scored a goal
in the 65th minute, Emory would secure the victory with
Alex Scott's 75th minute goal, the first of his
collegiate career.
Sophomore Trenton Spindler played 80 minutes in
goal, but did not have to make a save during the contest.
Spindler's goals against average dropped to 0.65 on the season,
while the team's GAA moved to 0.86.
The win ends a successful 5-0-0 road trip for the Eagles, who will
return home to the Woodruff Physical Education Center for
Homecoming on Saturday to face seventh-ranked Christopher Newport
University at 4:00 PM.

the season and second goal overall... 11 different Eagles have
scored goals this season, and five different Eagles have scored
