Emory University senior Adam Waxman helped lead the Eagles’ defense to its team-record ninth-consecutive shutout, during a 1-0 win over the University of Chicago. Waxman played all 90 minutes of the contest, allowing just seven total shots and four shots on goal. It was the 10th shutout overall this season for the Eagles’ defense, which has not allowed a goal over the last 903 minutes and 44 seconds of game time. Waxman and the Emory backline has allowed just one goal over 11 games this season for a 0.09 goals-against average, the second-lowest mark among all Division III teams this season. Waxman and the rest of the Eagles have a 10-0-1 record during the campaign, and currently sit in a three-way tie for first place in the University Athletic Association.
