Emory University sophomore Andrew Natalino was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Performance Subaru Men's NCAA Division III All-America Team for the 2010 season.
Natalino became the 15th all-American in the history of the Emory men's soccer program, and the only one to earn the honor as a sophomore or younger. He is just the third Emory defender to earn all-America status, joining former Eagles Ho Lee (1990) and Scott Kelly (1991).
Natalino was the Eagles' leading scorer with 11 goals and four assists for 26 points, along with a team-best five game-winning goals. He finished UAA play with two goals and one assist, including the game-winning goal against Case Western Reserve University, and the game-tying goal against Brandeis University. Natalino was also a key contributor to an Emory defense that ranked fourth in Division III with a school-record 0.41 goals-against average, and matched a program-best with 13 shutouts, including a school-record nine consecutive.
Earlier in the year, Natalino was placed on both the all-South Atlantic Region and all-UAA first teams, in addition to being named the Most Valuable Player of the Sonny Carter Invitational and to the Shellenberger Classic all-tournament team.
Natalino is the third all-America player to earn all-America honors under head coach Sonny Travis, joining forward Patrick Carver (first team in 2007 and 2008) and Marc Del Marmol (second team in 2008).
Natalino was a key component to the Eagles 14-3-2 campaign in 2010, helping the squad finish the year ranked 18th overall and advance to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships.
