The Emory University men’s soccer team will look to get back on track in the University Athletic Association (UAA) this weekend, as the 14^th-ranked Eagles will play their final regular season home games against the seventh-ranked University of Rochester on Friday at 7:30 PM and Case Western Reserve University on Sunday at 1:30 PM.

Senior Day
Sunday’s contest against Case Western Reserve will not only be the last home game of the regular season for Emory, but will also be the last home game for the Eagles’ soon-to-be graduating players.  Prior to the start of the game on Sunday, Emory will hold its annual ‘Senior Day’ Ceremonies, where they team will honor seniors Jake Graetz, Christopher Howie, Nathan McKeever, Michael Scannapieco and Adam Waxman.

Emory University Eagles
The Eagles are 12-1-2 overall this season, after defeating Maryville College 4-0 last Friday.  Emory has been perfect at home this season, going 8-0-0 at the Woodruff P.E. Center during the campaign.  Besides their ranking of 14^th in the NSCAA Division III poll, Emory is also ranked sixth in the D3Soccer.com poll, and second in the NSCAA South Atlantic Region poll.  Emory’s leading scorers this season is sophomore Andrew Natalino, who has 10 goals (including four game winners) and three assists for 23 points.  Defensively, junior goalkeeper Trenton Spindler ranks first among all NCAA Division III goalkeepers with a 0.952 save percentage and fourth with a 0.222 goals against average.  Emory is led by head coach Sonny Travis, who is 56-10-5 during his four seasons with the team.

University of Rochester Yellowjackets
Rochester is currently the seventh-ranked team in the NSCAA Division III poll, and the 15^th-ranked team in the D3Soccer.com poll.  The Yellowjackets have an overall record of 8-1-5, including a 4-0-1 mark in road matches this season.  The team is coming off a 2-0 win over Kean University on Sunday, its second-straight win.  Offensively, Rochester is led by senior Jimmy Parrinello, who has four goals and three assists for 11 points this season.  Sophomore goalkeeper Scott Garfing is ranked 18^th in Division III with a 0.428 goals against average and 69^th with a 0.833 save percentage.  The Yellowjackets are coached by Chris Apple, who is 131-30-26 during his 10 years with the team.

Case Western Reserve University Spartans
The Spartans will enter the weekend with an overall record of 9-4-3, and will play at Carnegie Mellon University on Friday before facing the Eagles on Sunday.  Case is 2-2-2 in true road games this season, and 3-2-2 in road and neutral games combined.  The Spartans are coming off a 6-0 win over Westminster College last Saturday, the team’s largest goal-differential of the season.  Case’s leading scorer this season is junior Vinny Bell, who has nine goals and one assist for 19 points.  Junior Ben Yabrow has started all 16 games in goal for the Spartans, recording a 1.00 goals against average and a .765 save percentage.  Case is coached by Dan Palmer, who is 69-45-15 during his seven seasons with the team.

Matchup Histories
Emory is 12-9-2 all time against Rochester, but has never lost at home to the Yellowjackets with a 10-0-1 record at the Woodruff P.E. Center.  Last season in Rochester, Emory lost a 2-0 decision to the Yellowjackets.

The Eagles have won three straight against the Spartans, and have an 11-0-1 record against Case all time in Atlanta.  Last season, Emory earned a 2-1 win over Case in Cleveland, as Jake Graetz scored both goals for the Eagles, including the game winner in overtime.  Zach Samuels and Christopher Howie each had assists in last year’s game.

Around the UAA
Emory and Rochester will enter the weekend tied for fourth in the UAA with records of 1-1-2 in conference play.  Leading the conference is New York University with a 2-0-2 record, followed by 2-1-1 Washington University (Mo.) and 2-2-0 Case.  Rounding out the conference standing are Brandeis University, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Chicago, all of which are 1-2-1.

Emory players were named the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for the UAA this past week, marking the first time this season the Eagles have swept the awards for men’s soccer… Andrew Natalino, who won the offensive honor, notched the first hat trick by an Eagle in over two years during the team’s 4-0 win over Maryville… Trenton Spindler, who won the defensive award, made a season-high nine saves en route to his sixth shutouts of the season… The Eagles have outscored their opponents 46-4 overall this season, including a 32-1 mark in the second half of games… 20 different Emory players have recorded at least one point for the Eagles this season.
