Emory University outside back David Garofalo helped the Eagles to two wins in three games last week.  During a 1-0 win over Oglethorpe University on Wednesday night, Garofalo assisted on the only goal of the game in the first half, and headed a ball off the goal line in the second half to preserve the one-goal victory.  He helped limit the Stormy Petrels to 10 shots, six of which were on goal.  On Friday night, Garofalo led the Eagles to their second-straight shutout with a 5-0 win over regionally-ranked Virginia Wesleyan College, holding the Marlins to seven shots with just three on goal, and assisting on the team’s third goal of the game.  Despite suffering a 3-0 loss to Guilford College on Sunday, the junior helped limit the Quakers to nine shots, just five of which were on goal.  Garofalo and the Eagles have opened the 2011 season with a 3-4-0 record.
