Emory University senior Zach Samuels recorded the 36^th hat trick in the program’s history on Saturday, leading the Eagles to a 3-0 win over Berry College.  Samuels gave the team a 1-0 lead in the first half, scoring on an unassisted goal after dribbling into the box and past a defender to set up a one-on-one with the Vikings’ keeper.  In the 58^th minute, the co-captain picked up his second goal of the contest, heading a ball into the back of the net.  He completed the hat trick in the 82^nd minute, placing a shot just out of the reach of the keeper that ricocheted off the far post and into the goal.  It was the first hat trick and third multiple-goal game in the career of Samuels, who now leads all Emory scorers with four goals and nine points this season.  He has helped the Eagles to a 4-4-0 record heading into the start of University Athletic Association (UAA) play.
