Emory Eagles
Emory currently stands at 7-6-0 on the year, following the team's 1-0 victory at the University of Rochester on Sunday afternoon.  The Eagles are 3-3-0 in road and neutral games this season, including wins in three of their last four road contests.  Emory is led by head coach Sonny Travis, who holds a 63-17-5 record during his five seasons with the team, and a 359-110-42 record during his 25-year career.

Piedmont will enter Wednesday's contest with an overall record of 5-6-1 on the season, including a 2-5-1 record in home games during the year.  The Lions are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to Covenant College last Wednesday.  Piedmont's offense is led by Sidney Smith, who ranks 89^th in Division III with eight goals and 162^nd with 17 points, and Nick Weatherby, whose six assist rank him 56^th in Division III.  Lions' goalkeeper Brian Gaid ranks 23^rd among Division III keepers with 7.23 saves per game.  Piedmont is coached by Jimmy Stephens, who has a 68-52-3 record during his seven years with the team.

Emory is 11-2-0 all time against Piedmont, including seven-straight wins over the Lions since a loss to Piedmont in the 2003 NCAA Tournament.  The Eagles are 4-1-0 all time in games played in Demorest, GA.  Last season, Emory defeated Piedmont 5-0 at the Woodruff Physical Education Center in a game that included goals from Andrew Natalino, David Langton and Charlie Donahue.

Emory sophomore goalkeeper Andrew Goldblum was named the University Athletic Association's (UAA) Defensive Athlete of the Week for Men's Soccer… Making his first career start on Sunday, Goldblum recorded a shutout with four saves during the Emory win… The Eagles are 3-2-0 so far in the month of October after finishing September with a 4-4-0 record… Freshman Dylan Price leads all Emory scorers on the road this season with three goals, including one game winner… David Garofalo and Alistair Moore are tied for the team lead with two road assists apiece in 2011… Garofalo currently ranks 141^st in Division III with .36 assists per game, and 197^th with four total assists.
