Emory University freshman Sebastian Hardington scored the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship clinching goal during the Eagles 1-0 upset win over sixth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday. Hardington tapped in the game’s only goal in the 72nd minute of action, breaking a scoreless tie with his first collegiate goal. The score not only gave the Eagles a win in their season finale, but allowed Emory to clinch a share of the UAA Title, the seventh in the program’s history and first since the 2008 season. Hardington and the Eagles finished the 2012 regular season with a 10-6-2 record, including a 4-2-1 record in UAA games.
