Emory University sophomore Dylan Price scored the ‘golden goal’ during the Eagles’ 4-3 overtime victory over Covenant College on Friday night. Price scored the game winner on a header off a cross from Jeffrey Cochran in the 97th minute of play. The forward has now scored three career ‘golden goals,’ the second-most in school history. He is both the University Athletic Association (UAA) and team leader with 11 goals and six game-winning goals (one shy of the school single-season record), in addition to leading all Eagles with 25 points. Emory improved to 8-0-0 in games where Price scores a goal this season. The win brought the Eagles’ ledger on the campaign to 8-5-2, and Emory currently stands in a four-way tie for first place in the UAA with a 2-1-1 record in league play.
