Sophomore Noah Rosen anchored an Emory defense that recorded two shutouts in as many games last week.  Rosen played all 180 minutes of the two contests, limiting opponents to a combined five shots on goal, and 13 total shots.  During a 5-0 win at Birmingham-Southern College on Thursday, the center back helped hold the Panthers to just seven shots, only three of which were on goal.  He followed that performance by helping the Eagles to a 4-0 win over Millsaps College on Saturday, during which he kept the Majors without a shot in the first half, and to just six shots for the game, only two of which were on goal.  Rosen has played in eight games this season, making six starts, and has been a key member of a defense that has recorded a 1.18 goals-against average and three shutouts.  Rosen’s performance helped the Eagles get back to the .500 mark, as the team improved to 4-4-1 on the season with the two victories.
