Emory University senior Alex Scott scored two goals, including the game winner, during the Eagles’ 5-2 victory over Case Western Reserve University on Friday night.  Scott headed in a corner kick just three minutes into the start of play in the game, giving the Eagles an early 1-0 lead.  He extended the Eagles’ lead to 3-1 in the 29^th minute with another header goal, this time coming off a long throw in.  The center back played all 90 minutes of the game, helping to limit the Spartans to just seven shots, only four of which were on goal.  During the Eagles’ 1-1 double overtime tie with Rochester on Sunday, Scott played all 110 minutes, holding Rochester to five shots on goal.  He also took two shots, one of which was on frame.  Scott has helped defense record a 1.22 goals-against average this season, while scoring three goals of his own.  The Eagles, in first place in the University Athletic Association (UAA) with a 2-1-1 league record, stand at 7-5-2 overall in 2012.
