Emory University center back Alex Scott played all 180 minutes of two NCAA Division III Championship games last weekend, helping the Eagles reach the second round of the tournament.  During Thursday night’s 4-1 win over Roanoke College in the first round, Scott and the Eagles’ defense held the Maroons to one goal on just five shots, only three of which were on goal.  In Sunday’s 3-0 loss to top-ranked Messiah College, the Eagles’ defense limited the Falcons to nine shots, including four on goal, becoming the first team to hold Messiah to less than 10 shots since the 2009 National Championship game, and the first team to outshoot Messiah since the start of the 2011 season.  Emory finished its 2012 season with an overall record of 11-7-2.
