Emory University junior Jeffrey Cochran scored the team’s only goal during the Eagles’ 2-1 loss at Covenant College on Wednesday night. Trailing 2-0 late, Cochran got the Eagles on the board and back in the game, scoring his first goal of the season in the 81st minute of play off an assist from Sebastian Hardington. The shot was the only one of the game for the junior, who came off the bench to play 19 minutes during the contest. The outside back also held Covenant without a shot during his time on the pitch. Cochran has one goal and a team-high seven assists for nine points this season, the fourth-best mark by an Eagle in 2013. Emory, currently in first place in the UAA with a 3-0-1 conference record, stands at 10-4-1 overall this season.
