Emory University sophomore Sebastian Hardington scored the game-winning goal during the Eagles’ 2-0 upset win on the road against the 23rd-ranked University of Chicago on Saturday. Hardington struck for his first goal of the season in the 38th minute of play, breaking the scoreless tie with a header off a long throw in. The goal-scoring shot was the only attempt of the day for the midfielder. Hardington now has a goal and two assists for four points this season. In addition, the score was the second of the sophomore’s career, both of which have been game-winning goals in conference games. With the win, Hardington and the Eagles improved to 1-0-1 in University Athletic Association (UAA) matches this season, and to 8-3-1 overall.
