Emory University junior Dylan Price was named the Most Valuable Player of the Sonny Carter Invitational, hosted by the Eagles last weekend, after leading all tournament players with three goals.  Price helped the Eagles open the season with a 6-2 win over Marian University (Wis.) on Saturday, scoring a pair of goals in the contest, including the team’s first of the game.  On Sunday, the forward scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over Mississippi College, converting a penalty kick in the 60^th minute of action.  His goal against the Choctaws was the ninth game-winning score of his career, giving him sole possession of fourth-place in school history in the category.  Price led the Eagles to the Sonny Carter Invitational Championship, the team’s 10^th in 13 years, as the squad opened the year with a 2-0-0 record for the first time since 2010.
