Emory Eagles
Emory has gone 3-0-1 over its last four games, including a 2-0 win at the University of Chicago last weekend, to improve to 8-3-1 for the 2013 season, including a 4-2-1 record at home.  Outscoring their opponents by a 27-13 margin this season, the Eagles currently rank 86th among Division III teams with 2.25 goals per game and 120th with a 1.06 team goals-against average.  Emory checked in at seventh in this week's NSCAA South Atlantic Region poll.

The Eagles are led by seventh-year head coach Sonny Travis, who has guided the squad to a record of 87-30-8, two UAA Championships and four trips to the NCAA Tournament during his time with the team.  For his 28-year coaching career, he holds an overall record of 381-122-45, the 18th-most victories among Division III coaches all-time.  Travis is assisted by Cory Greiner, goalkeeper coach Clayton Schmitt and volunteer assistant Wesley Lutz.

NYU Violets
NYU will enter Friday night's game with an overall record of 6-3-3, following the team's 1-1 home tie against Case Western Reserve last Saturday.  While the team is yet to lose at home this season, the Violets have struggled on the road with a 2-3-1 record away from home.  NYU will begin the week ranked 154th among NCAA D-III squads with 1.92 goals scored per game, and is 209th with a team goals-against average of 1.41, with the team outscoring its opponents 23-18.  NYU's offense is led by Reece Barton, who has scored six goals and assisted on another for 13 points, while defensively, four different goalkeepers have logged at least 100 minutes in net for the squad.
