Emory Eagles
Despite the two wins last week, Emory remained nationally unranked, but received votes in each of the NSCAA and D3Soccer.com poll, in addition to checking in at fifth in the South Atlantic Region poll.  The Eagles will enter Wednesday's game riding a season-long six game undefeated streak, during which the team has gone 5-0-1 to improve its season ledger to 10-3-1.  Emory is 4-1-0 in road games this year, and will head into this week's break from UAA play with a 3-0-1 record in the conference, good for first place in the standings.  The team has outscored its opponents 32-14 this season, including a 13-4 edge during its current six-game undefeated streak, and will begin the week ranked 80th among Division III teams with 2.29 goals per game and 100th with a 0.98 team goals-against average.

The Eagles are led by seventh-year head coach Sonny Travis, who has guided the squad to a record of 89-30-8, two UAA Championships and four trips to the NCAA Tournament during his time with the team.  For his 28-year coaching career, he holds an overall record of 383-122-45, the 18th-most victories among Division III coaches all-time.  Travis is assisted by Cory Greiner, goalkeeper coach Clayton Schmitt and volunteer assistant Wesley Lutz.

Covenant Scots
Covenant will enter Wednesday's game with an 8-5-3 overall record, including a 2-1-3 mark in home games in 2013.  The Scots will be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 loss at Huntingdon College at last Wednesday that sent the squad to a 5-4-1 record over its past 10 games.  The team is ranked 138th among Division III teams this season with 1.94 goals per game and 130th with a 1.08 goals-against average, outscoring its opponents 31-18 during the campaign.  Covenant is led offensively by the combination of Snoopy Davidson (five goals and five assists), Joel Friesen (four goals and five assists) and Hudson Brock (five goals), while goalkeeper Shuler Polk has started all 16 games in goal for the Scots, recording a 1.12 goals-against average and a .775 save percentage.

Covenant is led by Head Coach Nathan Pifer, who is now in his fifth year with the program.  Pifer has a record of 53-40-8 during his time with the Scots.  He is assisted by Drew Courtney, Scott Bosgraf and Chris Pifer.

Matchup History
Emory is 8-1-7 all-time against Scots, including a 2-1-0 record in games played at Covenant.  With 11 of the matches taking place prior to 1983, the two teams resumed their in-state rivalry during the 2008 season, with the Eagles winning all five of the recent meetings.  The last two games between Emory and Covenant have gone into overtime, with the Eagles winning 1-0 in 2011, and 4-3 in 2012.

During last season's win, Emory's Dylan Price scored the game winning 'golden goal' off Jeffrey Cochran's second assist of the game to clinch the victory.  It marked the second-straight season that the Eagles won against Covenant on a Price 'golden goal' off a Cochran assist.  Andrew Jones and Michael Rheaume also scored for Emory in the game, while Covenant's Tyler Morrison scored each of the three goals for the Scots.  Emory finished last year's victory with a 19-16 advantage in shots, and a 10-6 edge in shots on goal.
