Emory Names McGuigan Goalkeeper Coach

Emory University Men's Soccer Head Coach Sonny Travis had named Diarmund McGuigan the team's Goalkeeper Coach, effective for the start of the 2014 campaign.

McGuigan comes to Emory after serving as the Director of Goalkeeping for Centennial High School from 2008-14, working as an Assistant Coach on both the Boys and Girls varsity teams.  He was named the Boys Region Assistant Coach of the Year by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association on four separate occasions, and helped lead the squad to a 103-37-2 mark during his time there. McGuigan has also worked with the Darlington Soccer Academy and the Ralph Lundy Soccer Academy, in addition Concorde Fire and Alpharetta Ambush Soccer Clubs.

McGuigan attended Presbyterian College, where he played from 2005-07.  He is currently pursuing his degree in Business Management at Georgia State University, where he will graduate in the Fall of 2014.  McGuigan has his NSCAA National Goalkeeping diploma.
