Emory University junior goalkeeper Abe Hannigan recorded a pair of shutouts in as many games for the 24th-ranked Eagles at the Berry College Invitational last weekend. Hannigan played all 180 minutes in goal over the two games, making six saves during the weekend. In Saturday’s 3-0 upset victory over 14th-ranked Ohio Northern University, Hannigan made four saves, facing nine total shots from the Polar Bears. He followed that with a two-save performance in a 1-0 victory over Ramapo College on Sunday, facing six total shots in the game. Hannigan lowered his goals-against average to 0.71 and raised his save percentage to .786 with the two efforts, and moved into a tie for seventh-place in school history with 11 career shutouts. Hannigan and the Eagles have won three-straight games, and remain undefeated in 2014 with a 3-0-1 overall record.
