Emory University senior Dylan Price was named the Most Valuable Player of the Sonny Carter Invitational, helping the Eagles to a tournament victory with a 1-0-1 record during their opening two games of the 2014 campaign.  Price combined to score two goals and assist on another during the two tournament contests, and became the first player in the 12-year history of the Sonny Carter Invitational to repeat as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.  On Friday during Emory’s 1-1 double-overtime tie with Centre College, Price scored the Eagles’ only goal of the game in the 51^st minute, while playing 85 total minutes in the game, and leading all players with six shots, including a pair on goal.  During Saturday’s 3-2 win over Rutgers University – Newark, the forward helped the Eagles come-from-behind, assisting on the game-tying goal in the 48^th minute and scoring the game-winning goal in the 83^rd.  Price now ranks 14^th in school history with 31 career goals, and is third in the program’s history with 12 game-winning goals.
