Senior defender Leo Ragazzo of the Emory University men's soccer was named as one of HERO Sports Studs of the Week on Wednesday, October 28th.

This is the team's second HERO Sports Stud of the Week honor as senior GK Abe Hannigan earned on the honor on October 7th.

Ragazzo, who was making his first start of the season, helped the Emory defense limit the Birmingham Southern (11-3-2) offense to just one shot in the game. It was the lowest shot total allowed by an Eagles defensive unit since Sept. 23, 2009. The senior also notched his first point since his sophomore season, assisting on Christian Meyer's game-winning goal in the 95th minute to help Emory secure the 1-0 OT win over the Panthers.

The Eagles return to the pitch this weekend with UAA matchups against Brandeis and NYU. On Friday night before the game against the Judges, Ragazzo and the rest of the senior class will be honored with an on-field ceremony.
