Senior Moustafa Khattab was named the University Athletic Association's Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week after leading the Eagles to a pair of victories over Hardin-Simmons University and 14th-ranked Washington & Lee University.
Khattab paced the 8th-ranked Emory Men's Soccer team with two goals and one assist for five points as he named the Sonny Carter Invitational Most Valuable Player. Khattab's goals acted as game-winners in both contests, most notably his overtime strike to give the Eagles the win against the Generals on Saturday. Khattab also led the team with seven shots and five shots on goal during the two contests.
Next up, the Eagles travel to Camden, NJ this Saturday and Sunday for a pair of contests against Rowan and Rutgers-Camden in the Ciallella Classic. Both games are slated for 2:00 PM start times.
