Emory University men's soccer senior Jack Hudson was named the University Athletic Association Defensive Athlete of the Week Monday afternoon. It is Hudson's second consecutive weekly honor.
Hudson continued his strong play between the posts for the Eagles, collecting two more shutouts as Emory defeated Roanoke and #15 Christopher Newport this past weekend in Charlotte, NC to improve to 4-1-2. The Atlanta, GA native made seven total saves including five against the Captains on Sunday as the Eagles posted back-to-back 1-0 victories.
For the season, Hudson has played every minute in goal, compiling 33 saves for a .917 save percentage and a 0.39 goals against average.
Emory begins UAA competition Saturday afternoon against the University of Chicago. Opening touch is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
