Colton Myers' Brace Leads Men's Soccer Past Willamette, 2-0

The Emory University men's soccer team capped off its trip to the Pacific Northwest with another win Sunday afternoon, defeating Willamette 2-0 in Salem, Oregon.

Graduate transfer Colton Myers scored twice as the Eagles remained unbeaten at 2-0-2, closing out its weekend in Oregon with a 2-0 mark. With the loss, the Bearcats fell to 0-4.

Myers notched the first two goals of his collegiate career, scoring in both halves on Sunday. He opened the scoring in the 18th minute on Sunday, slotting a shot home from eight yards out off the pass from Friday's hero Ryan Hayes. He went on to add an insurance goal in the 85th minute with a strike to the bottom left corner following the feed from Alejandro Gomez.

Senior Peter Wagner collected his third clean sheet through the first four games, making four stops across the 90 minutes.

The Eagles look to continue the momentum next weekend with the Simms/Flowers Classic in Richmond, Virginia. The tournament gets underway on Friday with Emory set to face off against Mary Washington at 5:00 PM from City Stadium.
