Trevor Burke to Compete at NCAA Diving Regional Championships

Freshman Trevor Burke will represent Emory University at the NCAA Division III Region 2 Diving Championships on February 24th and 25th at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Burke is one of five male divers that has been selected from the Midwest, South and West regions to compete at Grinnell this Friday and Saturday. Region 2 offers two allocations for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships to be held in March with the qualifying breakdown as follow: 1-Winner from day one; 2-Highest finisher day two, not already invited.

The 1-meter event will take place starting at 2:00 PM CST on Friday afternoon with the 3-meter event to follow at noon CST on Saturday. Burke most recently competed at the UAA Championships earlier this month, earning All-UAA honors in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. He finished third in the 1-meter event after posting a personal-best mark in the finals at 452.25. He added a second place effort in the 3-meter event, breaking the 27-year old school record with a score of 512.25.
