Emory University sophomore Lucas Bumgarner was selected as the University Athletic Association Men's Diver of the Week Monday afternoon after helping the Eagles to a win over Delta State on Saturday.
Bumgarner swept both diving events at the meet as the Eagles won 190-97. Bumgarner posted scores of 354.94 in the 3-meter and 309.55 in the 1-meter to help the Eagles to the meet win.
For the season, the Pittsburgh, PA native leads Division III in the 1-meter with his 552.83 mark at the Emory Invitational and has posted a season-best score of 357.15 in the 3-meter against Birmingham-Southern. Bumgarner has now been chosen as the UAA Men's Diver of the Week four times this season and nine times in his career.
The Eagles return to action Saturday, February 1st with the final dual meet of the year against the University of Georgia. Events are slated to start at 11:00 AM in Athens.
