Jack Kelleher Selected as UAA Men's Swimmer of the Week

Emory University sophomore Jack Kelleher was named the University Athletic Association Men's Swimmer of the Week Monday afternoon following his performance at the Auburn First Chance Invitational. It is the first weekly honor of his career.

Kelleher posted three NCAA B Cuts to highlight the Eagles at the meet, recording a NCAA qualifying standards in all three events he swam in across the three-day meet. He turned in times of 1:51.28 in the 200 IM (6th place), 3:55.95 in the 400 IM (3rd) and 2:02.40 in the 200 Breaststroke (6th). The Eagles were the lone DIII school at the meet, competing against other swimmers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU and Vanderbilt.

His 200 Breast and 400 IM times marked new personal-bests while his 200 IM time represented a new season-best mark for the sophomore out of Auckland, New Zealand.

The Eagles are back in the pool this weekend as men and women look to capture their 22nd consecutive UAA conference championship in Chicago, IL.
