Senior (2008):
Final collegiate campaign saw him post a singles dual
record of 13-8 ... Played the Nos. 3, 4 & 5 singles positions
... Finished off the campaign by playing the No. 5 spot in the
team's last six matches ... Posted a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Kenyon
College's Will VandenBerg in the NCAA Quarterfinals ... The next
day he recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win over Middlebury College's Rich
Bonfiglio that helped propel the Eagles into the D-III championship
match ... He and Mark Boren captured First Team All-UAA honors at
No. 2 doubles after they won all three matches at the league
championships ... Turned in an overall doubles record of 17-7,
including a 10-3 slate with David Caplan at No. 2 and a 6-3 effort
with Boren at No. 3.
Junior (2007):
Enjoyed a fine season, compiling a 21-6 singles record ... Saw the
bulk of his singles contests at the No. 4 position where he
manufactured a 12-3 record ... Was 5-3 at No. 3 singles and 3-0 at
No. 5 ... Gained first team All-UAA honors at Fourth Singles ...
Totaled a 16-8 record in doubles, going 13-5 with Oliver Lopp (12-5
at No. 2, 1-0 at No. 1) ... Was named UAA Player of the Week
twice.
Sophomore (2006):
Ehlers finished 11-7 in singles play and 15-8 in doubles during his
junior season. In singles play he was 4-4 at No. 4, 3-1 at
No. 5, 2-1 at No. 6 and 2-1 during ITA matches. In doubles
action he was 15-8, going 8-1 with Jesse Ferlianto at the No. 2
position. In 12 tiebreakers he finished 7-5 for the year.
Named first team All-UAA for No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles.
Freshman (2005):
Ehlers compiled a 5-1 record in singles. He advanced to the
quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional
singles championship last fall before losing to a teammate. Ehlers
was 15th in the regional singles rankings at the end of the fall.
The freshman earned his first varsity letter.
