Senior (2006):
Redmond ended his collegiate career with an outstanding
senior season that included a singles record of 26-3 and a doubles
record of 23-4. He finished 1-0 at No. 1, 11-2 at No. 2 and
8-1 at No. 3. He was also 8-1 in ITA matches, winning the
South Region singles title and finishing fifth at the
championships. In three set matches he held a record of 4-2,
while going 1-0 in tiebreakers and third-set tiebreakers.
Redmond's double record was highlighted by his 13-2 record with
Michael Kaufman at the No. 3 position. He was also 6-1 with
Jesse Ferlianto. Finished with a career singles record of 69-18
(.793) and a doubles record of 63-14 (.818). Redmond's doubles
winning percentage now stands as the program's all-time best. Was
named first team All-UAA for No. 2 singles and second team all
conference in doubles.
Junior (2005):
Redmond was 25th in the final regional singles rankings compiled by
the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The junior was voted to the
all-conference team in singles for the second time and in doubles
for the second time. He compiled a 17-6 record in singles,
including seven wins against opponents from Division III teams
ranked in the top 25 nationally. Redmond was 16-6 in doubles
competition this season. His career doubles record of 40-10 (.800)
puts him on pace to break the school record for career doubles win
percentage. His career singles record of 43-15 (.741) puts him on
pace to finish 12th in school history for career singles win
percentage. Redmond received the team's Work Ethic Award.
Sophomore (2004):
Redmond not only became a regular in the Emory lineup for
the first time but he also earned All-America honors. He did so by
winning the regional singles title at the Intercollegiate Tennis
Association fall championships. Redmond advanced to the ITA
national tournament where he finished fifth among Division III
singles competitors. He was 47th in the final national singles
rankings and 14th in the regional rankings. Redmond was voted to
the all-conference second team at both No. 4 singles and No. 3
doubles. Redmond compiled a season singles record of 24-8, tying
him for 10th place in school history for most wins. He and teammate
Jesse Ferlianto were 12th in the final regional doubles rankings.
Redmond was 24-3 (.889) in doubles play this season, the
fourth-highest win total and the fifth-best win percentage ever in
the Emory record book.
Freshman (2003):
Redmond posted a 2-1 record in overall singles competition
during his first season. He went 1-1 against players ranked in the
top 25 nationally in NCAA Division III.
