Emory Men's Tennis Drops Decision At Division I Furman

The Emory men's tennis team ventured to Furman University for a Friday afternoon match against the Division I Palladins where it came out on the short end of a 6-1 decision.

The Eagles managed to win the first doubles match with senior Elliot Kahler and sophomore Ian Wagner battling to an 8-6 victory over Andrew Mellow and Joel Cook at the No. 1 spot, raising their spring record to 11-2.  However, Furman captured the Nos. 2 & 3 matches to claim the doubles points.   Wagner accounted for Emory's lone singles win, bettering Alex Christ at No. 2, 6-7, 7-5, 1-0, boosting his won-lost ledger to 11-2.

Emory, 8-5 thus far, returns to action on April 3 when it plays at Auburn-Montgomery.
