Emory Men's Tennis Tops Shorter

The No. 3-ranked Emory men's tennis team returned to action on Tuesday and came away with a victory over Shorter University.  The Eagles captured their third straight triumph and upped their spring record to 11-5 following a 5-4 decision over the Hawks who slipped to 8-10.

Emory held a 2-1 lead after the doubles portion of the match with the No. 2 team of Jackson Isaacs and Eric Seidelman and No. 3 tandem of Ayush Bajoria and Will Adams coming through with wins.

The bottom half of the singles lineup gave Emory a boost with Adams defeating Marc Guerry, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, at No. 4 while senior Dylan Wright earned his first dual win in as many outings this year with a three-set verdict over Arturo Lifshitz at No. 5.  Earning the other singles point was junior Nick Szczurek at No. 6 as he topped Robert Watson in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.

The Eagles return to action on April 23 when they host No. 24-ranked North Carolina Wesleyan.
