Emory Men's Tennis Lands Three On All-UAA Team

Three Emory University men's tennis players earned a spot on the University Athletic Association Team following their performance at the league championships this past weekend.  The Eagles landed three singles players on the first team following the squad's second-place finish.

Sophomore Ian Wagner (Columbus, OH) was honored at No. 3 singles, freshman Rafe Mosetick (Hinsdale, IL) received recognition at No. 4 singles while freshman Will Adams (Indianapolis, IN) captured acclaim at the No. 6 spot.

Wagner stands 19-4 in singles play this season, 16-3 during the spring portion of the schedule.   The owner of an 11-1 slate at No. 3 singles, Wagner captured all three of his outings at the UAA Championships including a 6-3, 6-3 decision over Washington University's Tim Noack in the title match.  It is the second straight season that Wagner has landed a first-team berth.

Mosetick has compiled an overall mark of 18-6 (15-5 in the spring) and also came away victorious in all three of his singles encounters.  Adams, who currently owns the team's longest current streak with victories in his last seven matches, has manufactured a 14-3 won-lost singles slate, 6-1 at the No. 6 post.
Adams hammered out a 3-0 record at the conference championships including a come-from-behind, three-set verdict over his opponent from Wash U.
Emory, 14-6 on the campaign and ranked No. 3 nationally, will hear on May 6 as to what awaits it in the postseason when the selections to the upcoming NCAA Championships are announced.
