Emory Men's Doubles Team Of Kahler & Wagner Stay Alive In NCAA D-III Championships

The Emory University doubles team of senior Elliot Kahler and Ian Wagner continued their run in the NCAA D-III Men's Tennis Doubles Championship on Friday, posting a quarterfinal round victory.  The duo raised their season record to 22-7 after earning their second consecutive come-from-behind in the tournament, today a 0-6, 6-1, 6-1, decision over the UT-Tyler tandem of Daniel Brown and Ryan Ybarra.  Serving as the host site of this year's Championships in Kalamazoo College (Mich.).

With their victory today, Kahler and Wagner, who have captured All-America honors by virtue of their effort at the Championships, move into the semifinals on Saturday where they will battle the No. 1-seeded team of Nicholas Ballou and Raymond Worley of Cal Lutheran.  Ballou and Worley, 26-2 on the season, advanced following their quarterfinal-round triumph over Amrik Donkena and Mya Smith-Dennis.   The semis are scheduled to begin at 11:00 am and will be followed the championship match.
