No. 7 Emory Men's Tennis Edges No. 9 Kenyon

The No. 7-ranked Emory men's tennis team recorded its fifth straight win on Sunday afternoon, defeating No. 9 Kenyon College at Woodruff PE Center.  The Eagles boosted their spring record to 12-4 following a 5-4 decision over the Lords who slipped to 11-6.

The outcome of the contest came down to No. 1 singles where Emory junior Alex Ruderman came away with a come-from-behind 6-7, 6-1, 6-2, verdict over KC's Michael Razumovsky, which represented his seventh straight triumph while boosting his spring record to 14-2.  Ruderman also figured in another point when he and Ian Wagner chalked up an 8-3 triumph over Sam Geier and Tim Rosensteel at No. 1 doubles.

The Eagles trailed by a 2-1 count after doubles, but emerged with the final verdict after capturing four singles matches.  In addition to Ruderman's win, other Emory singles victors included sophomore Rafe Moestick at No. 3, Wagner at No. 4 and senior Nick Szczurek at No. 5.

Emory returns to action on Thursday, Apr. 3, when it entertains Georgia Gwinnett College in a 2:00 pm start.
