The No. 4-ranked Emory men's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday (Apr. 16) when it plays host to regional foe Washington & Lee. Action at the Woodruff PE Center begins at 2:30 pm.
Emory heads into the match with a record of 13-5 and has won six of its past seven outings. In their most recent action, the Eagles topped then No. 5 Johns Hopkins, 7-2, on April 5. W&L has been victorious in five of its last six matches.
The Eagles claim three of the top-eight ranked singles players in the region including top-ranked Alex Ruderman, who has posted an impressive 15-3 spring record at the No. 1 spot. Ruderman, who has just one defeat at the hands of a Division III opponent this spring, is coming off a 6-4, 7-6 decision over Johns Hopkins' Michael Buxbaum. Junior Eric Halpern is slotted No. 4 in the region with a 17-7 slate (10-5 dual) while sophomore Rafe Mosetick is No. 8 (13-8).
In doubles play, Ruderman and junior Ian Wagner are ranked second in the region with the pair combining for a 7-4 record in the spring.
