Rafe Mosetick Named UAA Men's Tennis Co-Player Of The Week

Emory junior Rafe Mosetick (Hinsdale, IL) has been named the University Athletic Association Men's Tennis Co-Player of the Week after helping the Eagles to a pair of victories in three outings against nationally ranked foes. Mosetick shared the honor with Nicholas Chua of the University of Chicago.  It is the second time this season and in his career that he has garnered the award.

Mosetick was the lone Eagle to go 3-0 in both singles and doubles with the team closing out the three-match set with an overall record of 12-5.  Mosetick helped Emory to an 8-1 triumph over No. 26 Skidmore with a 6-1, 6-3, decision over Steven Koulouris at No. 3 singles after teaming with David Omsky for an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.  Mosetick had a hand in two of the team's points in a 5-4 win over No. 30 Tufts, with he and Omsky besting  Zain Ali and Brian Tan, 8-0, in doubles, while rolling to a 6-2, 6-2, outcome against Rob Jacobson at third singles.  In a 6-3 setback to No. 6 Middlebury, Mosetick was one of two Eagles to win at singles, rallying to best Palmer Campbell, 6-7, 7-5, 6-4, at No. 3, while he and Omsky came away with the team's lone doubles point with an 8-2 triumph over Chris Frost and William de Quant at the No. 3 spot.

Mosetick has won his last 14 singles outings and stands 15-1 this spring (13-1 at No. 3) and has combined with Omsky for seven consecutive doubles wins that have upped the tandem's mark to 13-2 (12-1 at No. 3).
