Emory Men's Tennis Blanks Rhodes

The No. 1-ranked Emory men's tennis team continued its winning ways during the early portion of the spring season on Saturday, raising its record to 6-0 following a 9-0 verdict over Rhodes College.

Emory captured 24 of 28 games in sweeping the doubles, with the No. 1 team of Hayden Cassone and Antonio Mora upping their record to 4-2 after an 8-2 triumph over Andrew Morton and Ritwik Chatterjee.  Also winning in doubles were Will Wanner and Alec Rabinowitz at second and Hassan Kenawi and Andrew Esses at No. 3.  Kenawi and Esses have captured all six of their doubles decisions this year.

Mora saw his spring record move to 6-0 (13-3 overall) after posting a 6-3, 6-3 win over Aaron Capone at No. 2 singles. Esses won for the fifth time in six outings (12-4 overall) after coming away with a 6-0, 6-0 whitewash of Morton at third singles. Other singles winners included Cassone at No. 1 (6-2, 7-6 vs. Chatterjee), Rex Serituk at No. 4 (6-4, 6-3 over Daniel Trudell), Wanner at the No. 5 spot (6-1, 6-2 against Alex Lloyd) and Rabinowitz at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0) over David Phillips.

Next up for the Eagles is a March 19 match at Azusa Pacific.
