The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: I definitely have great people in my fraternity that I continually look up to for advice and assistance. Also, one of my professors during sophomore year really helped me rediscover my passion for learning. But the only person who has been a constant in my life since I started at Emory has been my coach. Whether it is life advice, running advice, or relationship advice, Coach Curtin has helped make my Emory experience memorable and phenomenal. More than just a coach, he feels like a friend and confidant.

Any pre-meet/competition rituals: Visualize the race over and over again. But I also like to wait until the last possible moment to put on my race shorts and singlet, which generally leaves me in a port-a-potty 15 minutes before the race.

The sport I would be playing if I wasn't running on the cross/track and field teams: Well, I played tennis in high school so I would definitely be playing that more, but I think my answer is cricket because whenever I see them practicing on the field on campus, I always fell like it would be cool to do.

If I could have dinner with only three people in history, they would be: Aristophanes, Winston Churchill, Pope John Paul II

The best advice I have ever been given and who gave it to you: My mom told me "It's not what you know, it's who you know." I didn't really believe it at the time and I thought it was stupid, but the more and more experiences I have, the more I realize it is a fundamental truth for most situations.

What is something that very few, if any, people know about you: I really like to go line dancing.
