Emory University senior Alex Greenhouse set a school record in the 200-meter dash and recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 400-meter dash, while competing at the Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Saturday. Greenhouse finished 16th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.01 seconds, .02 seconds better than the previous Emory record and the fastest by a UAA runner this season. He later recorded a provisional qualifying time of 48.87 seconds in the 400-meter dash, the third-fastest time in school history and the best raw time by a Division III runner this year. Greenhouse also ran the leadoff leg of the Eagles' 4x400-meter relay team, which recorded a time of 3:22.40.
