In the team's second meet of the 2009-10 indoor track and field
campaign, Emory University saw a school-record fall and recorded 19
top-10 finishes against mostly Division I competition at the
Appalachian State University Open in Boone, NC.
Emory freshman Theresa Ford set a new school
indoor record with a height of 1.68 meters in the high jump,
breaking former Eagle Ashley DeMarco's record of 1.66 meters set
during the 2007 season. Ford finished second overall in the
event, and her height exceeded the NCAA provisional qualifying
mark. Sophomore Lauren Attiah came in sixth
in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.58 meters.
Emory senior Kara Cutrona recorded a pair of
top-10 finishes with a fourth-place finish in the shot put (11.36

It was the third best indoor mark in school history, and the
highest vault by and Eagle since the 1995 season. Also in the
field, sophomore Ben Euwer finished fifth in the
shot put with a throw of 12.84 meters, and freshman Nelson
Nwannunu claimed seventh in the high jump with a mark of
