After a week off from competition, the Emory University track
and field team will return to competition on Saturday, making the
trip northwest to participate at the University of Georgia
Invitational in Athens, GA.
Field events at the meet will begin at 9:00 AM, while the track
events are slated for a 12:15 PM start.
With less than three weeks remaining before the NCAA Division III
Championships, the Eagles will be using their final three meets of
the season, including the Georgia Invitational, as a tune-up and a
chance to qualify for the meet. Currently, Alex
Greenhouse (400-meter hurdles), Greg
Decker (5,000-meter run and 10,000-meter run) and
Paul Winterhalter (10,000-meter run) have
provisionally qualified for the Men’s NCAA Championships,
while Crystal Spence (200-meter dash),
Alix Dyer (400-meter dash), Brittany
Donino (100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles),
Rebecca Flink (3,000-meter steeplechase), and
Lauren Attiah (long jump and triple jump) and the
Emory 4x400-meter relay team have provisionally qualified for the
women.
