In its final meet before the 2010 University Athletic
Association (UAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the Eagles
will head to Auburn, AL for the War Eagle Invitational on Friday
and Saturday.
The meet, hosted by NCAA Division I Auburn University, will take
place at Hutsell-Rosen Track. Action will begin on Friday at 4:30
PM with the javelin throw and the hammer throw, and will continue
with all other events on Saturday, starting at 11:30 AM.
Emory will enter the meet with its men ranked 20th in
Division III, and the women ranked seventh.
This weekend’s meet will feature some of the top competition
in the nation, including host school Auburn, which enters the meet
with its men's team ranked 10th in Division I, while the
women are ranked 15th. The meet will also include Mississippi State
University and the University of Alabama women, the University of
Alabama-Huntsville, Alabama State University, Columbia University,
Columbus State University, Georgia State University, Georgia
Southern University, Grand Valley State University, Jacksonville
State University, Kennesaw State University, Mercer University,
Shorter College, the University of South Alabama, Troy University
and the Tennessee State University men.
