Emory University senior Alex Greenhouse
highlighted the Eagles’ opening-day effort at the NCAA
Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, earning a spot
in the finals of the 400 meter hurdles.
Greenhouse, running in the third heat of the prelims, clocked in at
52.87 seconds. He is one of the eight contestants who will be
vying for the individual title in Saturday’s final. He
earns All-America honors in the event by virtue of being one of the
eight finalists.
The women’s 4x100 relay team competed in the prelims but did
not qualify for the finals.
On Friday, Crystal Spence (100 meter dash) and Brittany Donino (100
meter hurdles) compete in the preliminaries of their events with
the finals slated for Saturday. Lauren Attiah also qualified
for nationals in the triple jump and competes on Saturday as
well.
This year’s Championships are being held in Berea, Ohio, and
hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College.
