Emory University sophomore Nelson Nwannunu recorded a provisional qualifying distance in the long jump during the Orange and Purple Classic on Saturday. Nwannunu reached a career-best distance of 6.94 meters in the long jump, good for a fourth-place finish out of 21 competitors, despite competing against mostly Division I opponents. He was also Emory’s top finisher in the 60-meter dash, placing 28th with a time of 7.40 seconds.
