Brad Pruente

Brad Pruente

Emory University’s Brad Pruente finished fifth out of ten competitors in the indoor pentathlon and fell just 11 points shy of a NCAA provisional qualifying mark.  Pruente’s score of 3,339 points was a career best mark, and the second-highest indoor pentathlon score in the program’s history.  His best scoring event was the 55-meter hurdles, as he notched 820 points with a time of 8.05 seconds and a third-place finish.  The senior also finished fifth in both the shot put (11.10 meters, 552 points) and the high jump (1.83 meters, 653 points), while claiming sixth in the 1,000-meter run (3:00.78, 657 points) and seventh in the long jump (6.32 meters, 657 points).  All five marks were the best of the season for Pruente, and his high jump, long jump and 55-meter hurdles marks all rank among the top-10 in the UAA this season.
