Four-year member of the cross country and track and field teams at Pinecrest Academy ... Was coached by Meghan Hoover ... Served as both team's captain his senior year ... Top 5K time in 2009 was a 17:13 ... Also ran the 3200, 1600 and 800 meters in track ... Was named the program's Most Valuable Runner his final year ... Was a member of the state championship cross country team as a sophomore and helped the squad to region crowns on three occasions ... Also competed on the basketball and soccer teams as a prep.
