The Emory University track and field team will look to continue
to add to their NCAA qualification marks this weekend, as the team
will travel to Naperville, IL for the Dr. Keeler Invitational at
North Central College on Thursday and Friday, and to Clemson, SC
for the Clemson Tiger Qualifier on Friday and Saturday.
Four Emory women’s distance runners are currently scheduled
to compete at the Dr. Keeler Invitational. Tess
Gallegos will be Emory’s only scheduled runner on
Thursday, as the junior will compete in the 5,000-meter run, slated
for a 9:25 PM CDT start. On Friday, sophomore Melanie
Frank will compete in the 1,500-meter run at 5:45 PM CDT,
while senior Natalie Fenn and junior Sara
Gelb will take part in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at
9:50 PM CDT.
Meanwhile, Emory will be sending a group of sprinters, hurdlers and
jumpers to the Clemson Tiger Qualifier. Included in the group
for the women will be seniors Alycia Adams and
Alisha Reynolds, juniors Alix
Dyer, Jasmine McCullough,
Charlotte Diggs, Laura
Lambie-Hanson and Lauren Attiah,
sophomore Kaele Leonard, and freshman
Morgan Monroe. Scheduled to compete for the
men will be seniors Everett Bryant and
Jason Campbell, juniors Ian
Francis and Xavier Fowler, sophomore
Isaac Chambers and freshman Mike
Moserowitz. The Eagles are slated to compete
in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, the
men’s 800-meter run, 100/110-meter hurdles, the women’s
400-meter hurdles, the women’s 4x100-meter relay, the
4x400-meter relay, the men’s long jump, and the triple
jump.
The running events at Clemson are scheduled for a 4:00 PM start on
Friday, with the jumps kicking off at 3:00 PM. On Saturday,
the meet is scheduled for a 1:00 PM start for events on the track,
while the jumps are slated for a 1:00 PM start.
